Kaju means cashew; Barfi is often, but not always, made by thickening milk with sugar and other ingredients. <br /><br />Ingredients:<br />(Serves 4)<br />- 1 cup Cashew Nuts <br />- 1/4 cup Water<br />- 1/2 cup Sugar<br />- 1 tbsp Ghee<br />- 2 tbsp Milk<br />- Cardamom Powder<br />- Edible Silver Foil<br /><br />Method:<br />1. Grind cashew nuts and strain it in a bowl<br />2. Turn on the flame, and in a pan, add water, sugar<br />3. Let the sugar dissolve, and add cashew powder to it <br />4. Mix it and add ghee, milk to it <br />5. Now, keep mixing it on a low flame, till the mixture becomes thick and add cardamom powder to it <br />6. Mix it and turn off the flame <br />7. Now over a butter paper, add ghee and spread it <br />8. Once the mixture is cold, Add kaju katli mixture over the butter paper and roll it <br />9.
